Avan look out across the horizon, surveying the territory of his pack. From here at the den to the northern most end was nothing but a single vast lake covered by permafrost. Beyond that lay yet more permafrost. To the south was the tiaga and the beginnings of a coniferous forest. Small pines poked out from beneath the snow cover. His two pups, each a year old now walked up to him from the den's entrance and snuggled close, looking up at him. He gave a small smile in return as he waited for what this day would bring.

Mex peered through the frost covered trees at Avan. "He dosen't know I'm here? So much for good hearing. I'd better kill those pups."

<fyi- i'm probably halfway around the world from all you other guys so I take a while to respond>

"Hmm. I heard some sadistic coments. Seriously- why would you bother coming out here to kill my pups? I've suffered enough and I havn't done anything to you."

Mex slipped around to the back of Avan. "The only pack that can live is the Thunder pack!" With that, he launched himself at the closer of the two pups.

Tathris sighed at Mex, padding into the clearing.
"You seriously think its a good idea to kill offspring when they could be the ones to fufill the prophecy..? I don't think you should." Snorted Tathris, butting into Mex.

Avan grabs the pup in his jaws and keeps both right next to him.
"Are you insane!?"

Tathris snorts, tossing her head back. "Right then, now thats over with and I saved your pups from near death.." Tathris chuckled, "bye then. See you all at the next forest meeting." She added, with a cold stare.

"I'll see you there." Avan says absent mindedly, paying attention only to Mex. "Make sure to deal with this one" He added as an afterthought still looking at mex. Rounding up his pups Avan walked off.

Toby stares as Mex walks off, anger flaring in his eyes. He wanted to slash his throat. How could he? I will make sure he doesnt lay a CLAW on them! he thinks fiercly.
